Manavi Jadhav

Manavi obtained her undergraduate degree in Physics with a minor in Geology from Fergusson College, University of Pune (India) in 1996. She did post-graduate work at the Department of Physics, University of Pune and the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophyics (IUCAA), Pune and obtained her M.Sc in 1999. At IUCAA, she worked on an artificial neural network technique for classifying stellar spectra. Manavi came to the U.S. in 1999 for graduate school at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Ohio University. She obtained her Master's there and moved to the Department of Geological Sciences at OU in 2001, to work on a planetary seismology thesis: "Seismic Characteristics of Interior Models of Mars". This earned her a MS in Geophysics in 2003.

Manavi is now a fourth year graduate student at the Department of Earth of Planetary Sciences, Washington University in St. Louis. She began working with Drs. Ernst Zinner and Sachiko Amari at the Laboratory for Space Sciences in July, 2004 and is currently trying to look for presolar graphite grains in the Orgueil meteorite.
