Linda Coffin has had a variety of jobs, as her husband's military career necessitated frequent relocations. She has worked as both an executive and a legal secretary, a reporter and photographer, and was a stay-at-home Mom for several years while her four children were small. She worked for seven and a half years in the Electrical and Systems Engineering Department before joining the Laboratory for Space Sciences. Linda is an avid reader, and writes in her spare time. She enjoys Scrabble, horseback riding, target shooting, singing and playing the guitar, and loves to travel. She has a brown belt in judo, and has been known to burst into song (usually opera) without warning. In 2003 she achieved a lifelong goal when she received her Bachelor of Science in English Literature from Washington University, through University College. She is now pursuing a Master's in American Culture Studies. She believes strongly that education opens doors as well as minds, and that learning should be a lifelong process. |
