Conference Topics

We will have 30 invited talks (30 minutes each) as well as contributed poster presentations by experts in the following areas:

1) The microanalytical study of presolar materials in meteorites and interplanetary dust -- historical review, isotopic compositions, constraints on nucleosynthesis; grain types; number and kinds of stellar sources; physical conditions in stellar atmospheres and the ISM; evidence for molecular cloud material in interplanetary dust particles.

2) Short lived isotopes in solar system solids--constraints on sources of solar system solids, timing and hydrodynamical models of injection of material into the protosolar cloud, production of short-lived radionuclides.

3) Nucleosynthesis in AGB stars, novae, supernovae and Wolf-Rayet stars

4) Mixing of supernovae ejecta--observations and computer models

5) Evolution of the isotopic composition of the galaxy; gamma ray astronomy constraints on nucleosynthesis

6) Astronomical observation of isotopic abundances in stars

7) Formation of solids around stars and in supernovae ejecta--astronomical observations, grain formation models.

8) From grain formation to the solar nebula - multiplicity of sources, grain propagation and survival.

9) Molecular clouds--observations, isotopic fractionation processes.

10) Survival of circumstellar grains in the early solar system and meteorites--constraints on conditions in the solar nebula and in meteorite parent bodies.
