Olga Pravdivtseva graduated from the Nuclear Physics Department of Tbilisi State University. She obtained her Ph.D. at Vernadsky Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences, in 1994. Her thesis was devoted to the experimental study of U-Xe-Kr isotopic systems in uranium minerals and zircons.

Olga joined the Laboratory for Space Sciences at Washington University in 1996.

Her research interest is the application of Xe isotopes for cosmochronology, study of early alteration events in meteorites history. Separation and characterization of presolar grains from a variety of primitive meteorites.
