PV-WAVE is a simple and powerful programming language with lots of built-in functions for image/data processing, image display, data plotting, etc. PV-WAVE commands can be called interactively from a command line or strung together into programs (along with FOR/NEXT, IF/THEN, etc. type structures). Thus, you can call programs to load and display images, and then manipulate them interactively from a command line interface. Anyone who intends to program in PV-WAVE and/or do anything beyond what is provided by already-written programs should read the PV-WAVE overview book and the first few chapters of the User's Guide, and at least become familiar with the rest of the User's Guide and the Reference Manual. One set of manuals is in the ion probe lab, and one is in Larry's office.

Libraries are collections of WAVE programs. Follow these links
